Keith's early 1970's Peugeot PX-10

Recently, I revived my Peugeot PX-10

Based on info from Classic Rendezvous, I think it is a 1972 model (note the plain lugs).

I bought it used in the early 1980’s. To get it back on the road, I took several parts from a mid 1970’s Motobecane Grand Touring, which I got new while I was in high school. Sadly, the Motobecane’s fork and head tube broke (on separate occasions) in the late 1980’s.

M = From the Motobecane
O = Original

Serial number: 2638636

Seat: Brooks (O?)
Seat post: Weyless
Bar/Stem: Pivo (M)
Headset: Stronglight Competition (O)
Brakes: Late 1970’s Dura Ace (don’t ask)
Levers: Cane Creek Campy knock-offs (new)
Crankset: Stronglight 93 (O)
Pedals: Lyotard (M)
Rear derailleur: Simplex SX 410 long cage (ebay)
Front derailleur: Simplex Super LJ (O)

Front wheel: Japanese. Borrowed from a late 1980’s Miyata 110 (sorry)

I still have the original sew-up wheels (Normandy Competition hubs, Super Champion rims), but I don’t use them.

Here are a few other PX-10's I've found on the internet. Some have many more original components, including the Ava death stem.

Examaple A (Nice Nervex lugs)
Example B (Plain lugs)
Example C
Example D (In blue)
Example E
Example F (Super LJ derailleuers)
